Hello! I'm Max and a fundamental belief of mine is that everyone is capable of learning anything. Poor grades and ostensibly imperfectible test scores are a reflection of the discord between the student's learning needs and the environment (classrooms where individual attention remains overlooked), which is where I come in--to smooth out the wrinkles, clarify, and reinforce. With an estimated 2000-3000 hours in one-on-one environments tutoring high school math, beginning to advanced spanish and french, AP Test Preparation (Art History, Spanish, English Literature/language, European History) and SAT/ACT Test Preparation (all subjects), I am able to quickly gauge a learner's style and specific needs, and then adapt to aid in the quick grasping and long-term retainment of the material. I engage in a relaxed, non-condescending way and relate the material with the intention of making it fun and thought-provoking. If I'm helping you learn French or Spanish, I promise to illustrate new words and concepts so that you begin to see the language as a native speaker sees it, rather than force you to memorize translations. I take the approach as the spanish/french preschool teacher you never had! I'll slow the language down and we'll sing songs and act out the fundamentals of the language. I'll guide you in the pronunciation from the start for your abilities to grow exponentially.
