CELTA qualification from International House London (2016) First Class Degree in English and Philosophy from The University of Leeds (with a year abroad in Copenhagen) (2012-2016) A levels: English Literature, Philosophy and History GCSEs including Maths, German and Media Studies.
Experience
My CELTA course had teaching experience built into the course, and I have experience of teaching a range of abilities. I have also previously worked as a rock climbing instructor for adults and children and have also trained volunteers to work on a support helpline. During my time at university I also took part in a module teaching philosophy to 7 and 8 year olds, which was challenging but great fun! I love tutoring because I love the way that the classes can be tailored so specifically to the individual. I believe that language learning should be useful and practical and think that this is often best achieved in a one on one setting where students individual goals can be achieved. I have experience of learning languages myself (I speak Danish to a B2 level and have previously learnt Russian and German) so I understand the difficulties facing my students. I am a patient and friendly person who is supportive and encouraging.

Hobbies
I have many hobbies including travelling, reading and climbing. I also like to play the guitar and meet new people. I spent my year abroad in Copenhagen and have now moved back indefinitely. I come from London originally and have also spent time living in Leeds.
